a TWO-FER!

ok i had to post this half project as well because i'm so excited about it. i just did it today and i call it a half project because i didn't do any of the hard work.

i had this idea to put some wood letters up above my fridge in an empty space that said 'EAT', so i looked online and found some wood letters, but the fonts they had that i liked were too wide to use in my space. long story short, i employed a shop student at school to cut them for me with a fancy computer-wood cutting machine they have there! a kid gets some spendin' money, and i get sweet decorations. deal!

i chose a font, he cut them, and here we go:

just the wood letters! freshly cut

i used some cheap acrylic paint, it probably took about 6 coats to cover! normally i would use the can of antique white house paint i keep outside

these are so light i just hot-glued the holders on. these are the best, they're self-leveling so as long as one of those teeth is in the middle, it doesn't matter if it's on straight or not! gravity does the good work for once.

i marked them in the center and 1" down on all the letters so they'd all be hanging at the same length

empty space!

not anymore! this is a GREAT way to fill the space cleverly and without too much to-do. i just used a level/tape measure with a laser on it (more uses for that than you'd think) and got the job done in 5 minutes.

i like how simple it is!
