stick a fork in it!

the downstairs bathroom is the first room i have totally completed in decorating, and i'm absolutely giddy about it. it's a small step for the whole house but it's helped me reach a vision about the overall design of the house and that's been very helpful. here's some pics!

mirrors that are detailed in my previous post

corner shelf that we picked out a long time ago. it's not my favorite but it does look nice in there and it holds stuff. there's a healthy supply of Real Simple and Southern Living, a book i made (top), a plant, and tissues. i think that's reasonable.

an idea i'm very proud of! this jar contains a placemat from my parent's wedding, an old family handkerchief, and doiles that my grandma crocheted. i think this is a fantastic way to display them and keep them safe from dust and dirt!

i LOVE this shelf and the framed ad, but i was stuck forever on what to put in that basket on the toilet. and it's so SIMPLE! toiletpaper. DUH!!

these are flowers i screenprinted onto tracing paper and cut out, i've got them pinned in a shadowbox. it's definitely interesting and different!

framed ad and article from a 1936 issue of Household Magazing that I have. the article is "After You're Married," and it tells you to do things like smell good and be rested and energetic when your husband comes home from work. ;)

i love this bathroom, i've never loved a bathroom this much, i just wanna be in there.
